Your reflections belong to you.
ALightinMotion recognises that honest reflection requires trust. Privacy is therefore part of the Sanctuary itself, not merely an administrative policy.
1. Our Privacy Commitment
ALightinMotion is designed to support reflection, remembrance and faithful practice with care.
We aim to collect and use only the information genuinely required to provide, protect and improve the Sanctuary.
2. Information Currently Handled
Information handled by the Sanctuary may include:
- browser-local Journal reflections, including titles and body content entered by the pilgrim;
- source context such as Daily Alignment, Sound Sanctuary, The Path or Foundation;
- locally stored preferences and continuity choices;
- My Sanctuary identity information when a pilgrim chooses to establish account-based continuity;
- bounded continuity details such as current Journey, embodiment day, chamber return context and selected Sound Sanctuary atmosphere;
- technical browser information required for the application to function; and
- email information voluntarily provided through direct contact.
My Sanctuary account continuity is optional. The Sanctuary does not upload private Journal body text as part of this identity boundary.
3. Journal and Reflection Storage
Your Journal reflections may be stored locally in the browser or device you use to access the Sanctuary.
Locally stored reflections are not automatically transferred to another device. Establishing My Sanctuary does not turn private browser-local Journal writing into cloud Journal storage.
Clearing browser storage, changing device or resetting the browser may remove locally stored reflections.
ALightinMotion does not claim ownership of the personal reflections you create.
4. How Information Is Used
Where applicable, information may be used to:
- provide the Sanctuary experience;
- preserve locally stored reflections and preferences;
- restore bounded My Sanctuary continuity when established;
- restore selected chamber or source context;
- improve reliability and security;
- respond to direct enquiries; and
- support lawful administration of the platform.
Personal reflections must not be sold or used for advertising.
5. Cookies and Browser Storage
ALightinMotion does not currently use ordinary marketing cookies or advertising cookies.
Essential browser storage may be used for:
- Journal persistence;
- session continuity;
- optional My Sanctuary sign-in and session handling;
- interaction preferences; and
- required application behaviour.
6. Third-Party Services
The Sanctuary uses local media assets, bundled local fonts, browser-based application behaviour and optional My Sanctuary identity and continuity foundations.
Approved hosting and infrastructure providers may process technical request information needed to deliver the site.
Approved authentication and email services may process the minimum information required to establish or maintain My Sanctuary access. ALightinMotion does not currently use active marketing analytics, payment processing, cloud Journal storage or active AI-provider calls for pilgrim reflections.
Third-party services operate under their own privacy terms where they apply.
7. Contact Communications
When someone sends an email to ALightinMotion, the information provided may be used to respond to the enquiry and retain an appropriate record of the communication.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
For local reflections, the pilgrim controls deletion through the Sanctuary's release functions and browser storage.
ALightinMotion cannot centrally delete reflections that have only been stored locally on a pilgrim's own browser or device.
Where My Sanctuary has been established, account deletion removes the My Sanctuary identity and bounded server continuity associated with that identity. It does not read, collect or centrally delete private Journal writing that exists only in browser storage.
9. Security
ALightinMotion applies reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the current service.
No digital system can guarantee absolute security.
10. Children and Intended Use
ALightinMotion is intended for lawful adult use and contemplative personal practice.
11. Your Choices
Users may:
- choose what to write;
- avoid entering highly sensitive information;
- release reflections;
- use the Sanctuary without establishing My Sanctuary;
- sign out from My Sanctuary;
- request deletion of an established My Sanctuary identity;
- clear browser data; and
- contact ALightinMotion with privacy questions.
